Amy Louise Lawrence

Interests:

Graduated from Demontfort University where I studied Fashion and Contour design. I have developed good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work on my own initiative. I have always had a keen interest in fashion and enjoy looking for new trends to keep in front of the changing fashions, which are needed in this line of work. I have skills in trend predictions, illustration and design. I am looking for a hardworking job to give me experience in the fashion industry.

Achievements:

Organised a catwalk show held at The City Rooms in Leicester which displayed 31 students concepts created in response to a competition set by a top London fashion label Harriet’s Muse. I was awarded 1st prize for my collection “skeletal” and received mentoring from Craig Spellar (Creative Director at Harriets Muse) The judges included: Craig Spellar; Amie Higginson, Head Designer for Kate Moss for Topshop; Sophie Higginson, Stylist for Sophie Anderton, and Vicky McClenaghan the Stylist for ‘Dazed & Confused’ magazine, ASOS and Little Boots.

Commissioned by the editor of magazine ‘From Dusk Till Dorn’, and Leicester City Council, to organise a Catwalk opening the annual Leicester Comedy Festival. This gained alot of interest from press and had some great reviews

Work photographed by renound photographer “Jake Green” and published in “Black Hair and Beauty” Magazine.

Final University collection showcased at the prestigious Freemasons Hall in London. The garments were selected by a panel of judges including industry names from Triumph, Stretchline and Harriet's Muse.

Articles written about me have been published in local papers including; Leicester Mercury and Nottingham post. One Journalist quoted my work as being “wouldn’t look out of place on quirky popstar lady gaga”
